While Cyndy Keesler and I traveled around the US in early 2020, the coronavirus appeared. We didn’t contract Covid-19, but it did force us to take refuge in Green Valley, Arizona. Being a Great Lakes sailor, this desert wasn’t my first choice of location, but it served us well. The stories on this page cover our summer in Green Valley, our winter in Texas, and our spring in Michigan.
2020-03-24 Avoiding COVID-19
While driving merrily along our way, an invisible virus appeared in the world, invaded the United States, harmed and impacted many, and affected our travels.
2020-04-15 Al Kaline, my boyhood hero
The journey of life includes birth, death, and some level of achievement, maybe being a hero. My hero was (still is) Al Kaline, right fielder for the Detroit Tigers professional baseball team, who died on April 6, 2020.

2020-08-20 Words from wise ones

Impacted by COVID-19, Cyndy’s and my travels are waylaid. Our trailer is in temporary storage. We have rented a nice home on a month-by-month basis. This blog describes our environment, scenery, and activities.
2020-06-01 Spontaneous Evolution
Evolution is not a ramp of continuous improvement but, rather, a sudden leap from chaos to a “better way.” We are in the chaos; the spontaneous evolution is near.
2020-12-20 Holiday potpourri
Cyndy’s improved health, my expansion on social media, our relocation near Corpus Christi, seeing the border wall, immortal HeLa cells, and gratitude for the “little things” in life. Imagine peace on Earth.
2021-02-20 Texas draws static over electrical outages
The polar vortex stormed through Texas and revealed major flaws in the state’s self-serving energy policies. I was there. This is my report.
